Technology has taken over my life. Fact.
At least once a day i find myself frantically organising ways in which to meet up with someone i am standing in front of, via various electronic gadgets.
'Add me on Facebook then we can sort out a time to meet up, and ill text you my home number.Oh and i must bluetooth you those pictures from my birthday so you can upload them onto Myspace.'
Without wishing to sound like an old woman, it's exhausting. Having to check all these communication portals simply to find out that no one has tried to get in touch with you, not even your Mother.
The awful truth is; i could not live without my phone, laptop, and ipod. I would feel stranded from society and actually be forced to put pen to paper and write a letter. Imagine!
It was bizarre to see the majority of Britain completely shut down last week because of the snow. Technology just could not match those evil snowflakes, as cancelled trains and planes left people stranded all over the country. While workers in Russia went about their day to day business under 10ft of snow (slight exaggeration there) ,the good ol' Brits locked their doors and and shouted 'Snow day!' when the grass had a light covering.
Luckily, i could text my mate ,who was in the next room, to put the kettle on, so it was fine!
